Last Month’s Minutes: A motion was made and seconded to
forego the reading of last months's minutes. The motion passed and the minutes
were not read. ,
Correspondence: The
AFL-CIO Convention is coming up and we need members to attend as delegates. More
info to follow.

President’s Report: 1.
Sat in on one investigation, there are currently three open investigations.
2. Met with STS supervisor and Cathy Fah along with Sid Helseth at CO for
a meet and confer on the budget cuts to STS program.
3. Distributed additional Vets clothes.
4. Worked on organizing for Anoka County 5. Worked with members on several issues throughout the
last month. 6. The
scholarships deadline was June 16. The winners will be notified soon and will be
awarded on July 16 at the four o'clock Union Meeting. Winners will be invited
and expected to attend the ceremony.

Old Business: Essays
for the scholarships were due on 6/16/08 and a committee of three will judge
them. The winners will be announced
sometime next week.
$ New Business: The ballots for the Executive Board and Trustee positions were counted at the 4:00 PM meeting at Central Office. Mark Rozak and Kris Ringgold are going to remain on the E-Board. Each AFSCME member will receive another ballot in the mail next week to select the third E-Board position. We had a very low number of ballots returned from the first round. Make your vote count and send in your ballot. There will be a Scholarship party on July 16, 2008 at 4:00 PM at the Centennial Fire Station in Lino Lakes with food and beverages. The four students who will be awarded the scholarships will be asked to attend with their parent(s). ^ Discussion: None P Good and Welfare: None
