The lead worker for this area stated that she has only ever seen a state campaign reach majority prior to negotiations one other time in her career! We are making history out here, and we are about to start training for negotiations and getting everyone ready to do some action plans...it is getting really exciting! -Officer Jessica Johnson (reporting from the field in

Vice President’s Report: *Discussed the Contract Proposal Forms and Inequity proposal forms and how to properly fill them out. *The Negotiations Assembly is set for November 21 and 22, 2008 The first thing that happens is union members can fill out
Contract Proposal Forms (Contract language changes) and Inequity Proposal Forms
(wages, anything tied with a monetary value).
Units 2-7 have a white proposal form and a yellow inequity
form Unit 8 (Officers and ICWC crew leaders) have a blue
proposal form and a yellow inequity form Several copies of each have been placed in the Officer's
mailroom at Lino Lakes. President Tim Henderson, Vice-President Darby Bunnell,
Treasurer Denise Pierre, Secretary Amy Score, and E-Board member Mark Rozak also
have several copies of the forms so seek out one of the above mentioned people
to obtain a sheet and for guidance on how to fill one out properly.
Use the contract book to back up what article you are asking to be
changed. All units can use the big
green book (Contract July 1, 2007-June 20, 2009) and Correction's Officers can
use the small tan Unit 8 book as well. After we have received the proposals, the Executive Board will look at each proposal and either accept or reject each proposal. The Local Union President (Tim Henderson) will sign the approved forms and I will send them to Council 5. For Central Office and Out-State members, I will send out electronic copies of each proposal form. But, these can't be sent via e-mail to Council 5 because they will only accept signed hard copies from the Local. You can e-mail Amy Score your proposed electronic proposal form and we will vote to accept or reject it. Important Dates: September 10, 2008-Last day to put completed proposal and
inequity forms in my mailbox (#262) at Lino Lakes or send it to me via e-mail.
