Fall AFSCME Convention in Duluth, MN
The Convention is Sep 27th, 28th, and 29th at the DECC in Duluth, MN.

by July 16th, 2007. If we have more then 14 members that wish to attend, we will vote for the delegates at the July 18th, 2007 union meetings in Lino Lakes.
Child Care: Provided during convention business hours (all 3 days). Fill out and send to Lois McEwen by September 14th(info is at the bottom of the form). If you want a form, contact Amy Score.
Thursday:
7AM-8:30AM- Registration
8:30 AM-11:45 AM= Workshops (History of the union, communicating w/ a powerful voice, retirement, building unity, politics and power, applying for state jobs, organizing union, etc.)
11:45-1:30 LUNCH!
1:30 PM-3:30 PM Reconvene
4-6 PM-Sector/Policy committees
6PM-Midnight-Hospitality room at the Holiday Inn
Friday:
10 AM-noon-reconvene
Noon-1:45 PM-LUNCH!!!
1:45PM-3:15 PM-Special Workshops
3:30 PM-5:30 pm-Movie (not sure what it is)
8PM-Midnight-dance
Saturday:
9AM-reconvene
Noon-adjourn!~

The union pays $200 a day as well as your hotel room. (If 2 members share a room, the whole room is paid for. If it's just one member, 50% of the room is paid for)
